Hind invites Layla to explore a new picture book. Practise colours, positions and reading words as the sisters look closely at its first page.

My sister Hind has a new book. Its cover is red, and its pictures are large. She puts it on the table and says, “Come here, Layla. Let’s read together.” I sit beside her and open the book.
On the first page, there is a blue house and a green garden. Hind asks me, “Where is the yellow door?” I look at the picture. There is a small door beside the house. I say, “Here it is!”
My sister laughs and reads the sentence under the picture. Then I read the sentence again. We read three pages together. I like this book. I say to my sister, “Tomorrow we’ll read more!”
