Rania: Good morning. I booked a coach journey by phone yesterday and found a mistake in my name when I read the confirmation message.
Huda: Welcome. Could you show me the message and your identity document so I can compare the name with the booking?
Rania: Of course. My name is Rania, but the message says Dania. The mistake is only in the first letter.
Huda: I see the difference now: rāʾ instead of dāl. Are the family name and the travel date correct?
Rania: Yes, both are correct. The journey is tomorrow at half past eight in the morning, and the seat is by the window.
Huda: I have found the booking. I can correct this letter in this record, then send you a new confirmation.
Rania: Thank you. I only want to correct the name; I do not want to change the journey or the seat I chose.
Huda: Understood. The time and seat will stay the same. Before I save it, could you check this spelling?
Rania: Yes, that is my name: rāʾ, alif, nūn, yāʾ, alif. It matches the name on the document.
Huda: Good. I will save the correction now. The message will go to the same address you used for the booking.
Rania: Should I wait until the message arrives? I would prefer to check it while I am here to avoid another mistake.
Huda: Yes, please. I have sent it, and we can read the details together before you leave.
Rania: The new message has arrived. The name is correct now, but I also want to check the booking number.
Huda: The booking number has not changed. The change is the name correction, and it appears in this copy.
Rania: So I should keep the new message and show this copy to the station employee when I arrive?
Huda: Yes, use this copy for this booking, and bring the identity document we checked together.
Rania: I will do that. Could you read the time once more so that I do not mix up the two messages?
Huda: Certainly: tomorrow, half past eight in the morning. We have not changed any other detail of your journey.
Rania: Excellent. Everything is clear now. Thank you for checking the name and confirming that the booking stayed the same.
Huda: You are welcome. It is good that you read the confirmation before the day of travel. I hope you have a comfortable journey.
