خُطَّةٌ جَدِيدَةٌ بَعْدَ إِلْغَاءِ الْجَوْلَةِ
مَرْيَمُ: صَبَاحَ الْخَيْرِ. لَدَيَّ خَبَرٌ غَيْرُ سَارٍّ: أُلْغِيَتْ جَوْلَةُ الْقَارِبِ هَذَا الصَّبَاحَ بِسَبَبِ الرِّيَاحِ الْقَوِيَّةِ.
عَادِلٌ: يَا لِلْأَسَفِ! كُنَّا نَنْتَظِرُ هَذِهِ الْجَوْلَةَ. هَلْ يُمْكِنُ أَنْ نَقُومَ بِهَا فِي وَقْتٍ لَاحِقٍ الْيَوْمَ؟
مَرْيَمُ: لَا أَسْتَطِيعُ تَأْكِيدَ ذَلِكَ الْآنَ. لَكِنْ يُمْكِنُنَا زِيَارَةُ الْمَتْحَفِ أَوِ الْحَدِيقَةِ بَدَلًا مِنَ الْجَوْلَةِ.
لِينَا: أُفَضِّلُ مَكَانًا دَاخِلِيًّا، لِأَنَّ الْجَوَّ بَارِدٌ. وَنَحْتَاجُ إِلَى الْوُصُولِ إِلَى مَحَطَّةِ الْقِطَارِ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ.
مَرْيَمُ: إِذَنْ، الْمَتْحَفُ أَنْسَبُ. يَفْتَحُ فِي الْعَاشِرَةِ، وَيُوجَدُ فِيهِ مَعْرِضٌ عَنْ تَارِيخِ الْمِينَاءِ.
عَادِلٌ: السَّاعَةُ الْآنَ التَّاسِعَةُ وَالنِّصْفُ. هَلْ نَنْتَظِرُ هُنَا، أَمْ يُوجَدُ شَيْءٌ نَفْعَلُهُ قَبْلَ الْعَاشِرَةِ؟
مَرْيَمُ: السُّوقُ الْمُغَطَّاةُ فِي طَرِيقِنَا. نَسْتَطِيعُ الْمَشْيَ فِيهَا ثُمَّ نَصِلُ إِلَى الْمَتْحَفِ عِنْدَ فَتْحِهِ.
لِينَا: فِكْرَةٌ مُنَاسِبَةٌ، لَكِنْ لَا أُرِيدُ التَّأَخُّرَ. هَلْ تَكْفِي سَاعَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ لِزِيَارَةِ الْمَعْرِضِ؟
مَرْيَمُ: نَعَمْ، الْمَعْرِضُ صَغِيرٌ. يُمْكِنُنَا الْخُرُوجُ فِي الْحَادِيَةَ عَشْرَةَ، وَالْمَحَطَّةُ تَبْعُدُ عِشْرِينَ دَقِيقَةً سَيْرًا.
عَادِلٌ: هَلْ تَشْمَلُ تَذْكِرَةُ الْقَارِبِ دُخُولَ الْمَتْحَفِ، أَمْ نَحْتَاجُ إِلَى تَذْكِرَةٍ أُخْرَى؟
مَرْيَمُ: الدُّخُولُ إِلَى هَذَا الْمَعْرِضِ مَجَّانِيٌّ الْيَوْمَ. أَمَّا حَجْزُ الْقَارِبِ، فَسَنُرَاجِعُهُ مَعَ الْمَكْتَبِ بَعْدَ زِيَارَتِنَا.
لِينَا: حَسَنًا، لِنَفْصِلْ بَيْنَ الْأَمْرَيْنِ. نُرَتِّبُ الصَّبَاحَ الْآنَ، ثُمَّ نَسْأَلُ الْمَكْتَبَ عَنِ الْحَجْزِ.
عَادِلٌ: مُتَّفِقُونَ. أُرِيدُ فَقَطْ أَنْ أَتَأَكَّدَ: لَنْ نَنْتَظِرَ خَبَرَ جَوْلَةٍ أُخْرَى عِنْدَ الْمِينَاءِ؟
مَرْيَمُ: صَحِيحٌ، سَنَتَّجِهُ إِلَى السُّوقِ الْآنَ. سَأَطْلُبُ مِنَ الْمَكْتَبِ إِرْسَالَ أَيِّ خَبَرٍ جَدِيدٍ إِلَيَّ.
لِينَا: وَإِذَا أَصْبَحَتْ جَوْلَةُ الْقَارِبِ مُمْكِنَةً بَعْدَ الظُّهْرِ، فَلَنْ تُنَاسِبَنَا بِسَبَبِ مَوْعِدِ قِطَارِنَا.
عَادِلٌ: بِالضَّبْطِ. لَا نُغَيِّرُ مَوْعِدَ السَّفَرِ؛ نُغَيِّرُ نَشَاطَ الصَّبَاحِ فَقَطْ. الْخُطَّةُ الْجَدِيدَةُ تُنَاسِبُنِي.
مَرْيَمُ: مُمْتَازٌ. سَنَقْضِي نَحْوَ عِشْرِينَ دَقِيقَةً فِي السُّوقِ، ثُمَّ نَمْشِي خَمْسَ دَقَائِقَ إِلَى الْمَتْحَفِ.
لِينَا: سَأُخْبِرُ أَخِي بِالْخُطَّةِ، فَهُوَ يَنْتَظِرُنَا عِنْدَ الْمَحَطَّةِ وَلَا يَعْرِفُ أَنَّ الْجَوْلَةَ أُلْغِيَتْ.
عَادِلٌ: جَيِّدٌ، وَسَأَضْبِطُ تَنْبِيهًا لِلسَّاعَةِ الْحَادِيَةَ عَشْرَةَ حَتَّى لَا نَنْسَى وَقْتَ الْخُرُوجِ.
مَرْيَمُ: لِنَنْطَلِقْ إِذَنْ. رَغْمَ تَغَيُّرِ الْخُطَّةِ، مَا زَالَ أَمَامَنَا وَقْتٌ لِزِيَارَةٍ قَصِيرَةٍ وَمُفِيدَةٍ.

Maryam: Good morning. I have some disappointing news: this morning’s boat tour has been cancelled because of strong winds.
Adil: What a pity! We were looking forward to this tour. Could we do it later today?
Maryam: I cannot confirm that now. But we could visit the museum or the garden instead of taking the tour.
Lina: I prefer somewhere indoors because it is cold. And we need to reach the railway station before noon.
Maryam: Then the museum is more suitable. It opens at ten, and it has an exhibition about the history of the port.
Adil: It is half past nine now. Shall we wait here, or is there something we can do before ten?
Maryam: The covered market is on our way. We can walk through it and then reach the museum when it opens.
Lina: That sounds suitable, but I do not want to be late. Is one hour enough to visit the exhibition?
Maryam: Yes, the exhibition is small. We can leave at eleven, and the station is a twenty-minute walk away.
Adil: Does the boat ticket include museum admission, or do we need another ticket?
Maryam: Admission to this exhibition is free today. As for the boat booking, we will discuss it with the office after our visit.
Lina: All right, let us deal with the two matters separately. We will plan the morning now, then ask the office about the booking.
Adil: Agreed. I just want to confirm: we will not wait at the port for news of another tour?
Maryam: Correct. We will head to the market now. I will ask the office to send me any updates.
Lina: And if a boat tour becomes possible in the afternoon, it will not suit us because of our train time.
Adil: Exactly. We are not changing our travel time; we are only changing the morning activity. The new plan suits me.
Maryam: Excellent. We will spend about twenty minutes in the market, then walk five minutes to the museum.
Lina: I will tell my brother about the plan. He is waiting for us at the station and does not know the tour was cancelled.
Adil: Good, and I will set a reminder for eleven so that we do not forget the departure time.
Maryam: Let us set off, then. Despite the change of plan, we still have time for a short and worthwhile visit.
