My name is Khalid. It is nine o’clock in the evening, and I am tired. I go to the bathroom. I wash my face and brush my teeth. Then I put on my nightclothes. I put my bag beside the door. My schoolbooks and pens are in the bag.
I want to read a short story, but where is my book? I look at the table. The book is not there. My mother comes in and asks, “Is it under the pillow?” I lift the pillow. Yes, my book is here!
I read a page with my mother. Then I put the book on the table and say, “Good night, Mum.” I turn off the lamp and close my eyes.
