وَلِيدٌ: قَطَعْنَا السَّطْحَ بِطُولِ مِائَةٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ سَنْتِيمِتْرًا، وَلَمْ نَبْدَأِ الطِّلَاءَ بَعْدُ. مَا التَّعْدِيلُ الَّذِي تُرِيدُهُ؟
بَاسِمٌ: أُرِيدُ طُولًا قَدْرُهُ مِائَةٌ وَسِتُّونَ سَنْتِيمِتْرًا، وَلَوْنًا بُنِّيًّا بَدَلًا مِنَ الْأَبْيَضِ؛ لِأَنَّنِي سَأَسْتَخْدِمُ شَاشَتَيْنِ.
وَلِيدٌ: تَغْيِيرُ الطُّولِ يَتَطَلَّبُ لَوْحًا جَدِيدًا، وَيَرْفَعُ السِّعْرَ مِائَةً وَعِشْرِينَ رِيَالًا وَيُؤَخِّرُ التَّسْلِيمَ أَرْبَعَةَ أَيَّامٍ.
بَاسِمٌ: أَتَفَهَّمُ تَكْلِفَةَ اللَّوْحِ، لَكِنَّ الزِّيَادَةَ أَكْبَرُ مِمَّا تَوَقَّعْتُ. هَلْ يُمْكِنُ تَوْسِيعُ السَّطْحِ الْمَوْجُودِ بَدَلًا مِنَ اسْتِبْدَالِهِ؟
وَلِيدٌ: يُمْكِنُ وَصْلُ قِطْعَةٍ بِهِ، لَكِنَّ خَطَّ الْوَصْلِ سَيَظْهَرُ. لَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَعِدَكَ بِسَطْحٍ يَبْدُو كَأَنَّهُ قِطْعَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ.
بَاسِمٌ: إِذَنْ لَنْ أَخْتَارَ الْوَصْلَ، لِأَنَّ الْمَظْهَرَ الْمُتَّصِلَ مُهِمٌّ لِي. وَمَا تَكْلِفَةُ تَغْيِيرِ اللَّوْنِ وَحْدَهُ؟
وَلِيدٌ: الْبُنِّيُّ الَّذِي اخْتَرْتَهُ يُضِيفُ ثَلَاثِينَ رِيَالًا، وَلَا يُؤَخِّرُ التَّسْلِيمَ إِذَا أَكَّدْتَ الِاخْتِيَارَ قَبْلَ بَدْءِ الطِّلَاءِ غَدًا.
بَاسِمٌ: السِّعْرُ الْأَصْلِيُّ سِتُّمِائَةِ رِيَالٍ. لَا أُرِيدُ زِيَادَةً كَبِيرَةً، وَلَكِنِّي أَحْتَاجُ إِلَى مَسَاحَةٍ كَافِيَةٍ لِلشَّاشَتَيْنِ.
وَلِيدٌ: قَبْلَ تَغْيِيرِ الْقِيَاسِ، جَرِّبْ تَرْتِيبَهُمَا دَاخِلَ الْمَسَاحَةِ الْأَصْلِيَّةِ. قَدْ تَكْفِي إِذَا وَضَعْتَ إِحْدَاهُمَا بِزَاوِيَةٍ.
بَاسِمٌ: حَدَّدْتُ الْمَسَاحَةَ عَلَى طَاوِلَتِي وَجَرَّبْتُ ذَلِكَ الْآنَ. الْمَسَاحَةُ تَتَّسِعُ لَهُمَا، وَمَا زَالَ هُنَاكَ مَكَانٌ لِلْكِتَابَةِ.
وَلِيدٌ: إِذَنْ يَبْدُو أَنَّ الزِّيَادَةَ لَيْسَتْ ضَرُورِيَّةً. يُمْكِنُنَا الِاحْتِفَاظُ بِاللَّوْحِ الْحَالِيِّ وَالْمَوْعِدِ الْأَصْلِيِّ لِلتَّسْلِيمِ.
بَاسِمٌ: أُوَافِقُ. أَمَّا الدُّرْجُ فَلَا أَحْتَاجُ إِلَيْهِ؛ عِنْدِي خِزَانَةٌ قَرِيبَةٌ. هَلْ بَدَأْتُمْ تَصْنِيعَهُ أَيْضًا؟
وَلِيدٌ: لَمْ نَبْدَأْ بِهِ، وَإِلْغَاؤُهُ يُخَفِّضُ السِّعْرَ خَمْسِينَ رِيَالًا. هَذَا لَا يُغَيِّرُ قَوَاعِدَ الْمَكْتَبِ أَوْ ثَبَاتَهُ.
بَاسِمٌ: إِذَنْ أَحْتَفِظُ بِالطُّولِ، وَأُلْغِي الدُّرْجَ، وَأَخْتَارُ الْبُنِّيَّ. أُدْرِكُ أَنَّ طَلَبَ التَّغْيِيرِ مِنِّي، وَلَا أَتَوَقَّعُ تَنْفِيذَهُ مَجَّانًا.
وَلِيدٌ: بِهَذِهِ التَّعْدِيلَاتِ يُصْبِحُ الْمَجْمُوعُ خَمْسَمِائَةٍ وَثَمَانِينَ رِيَالًا، وَيَبْقَى التَّسْلِيمُ يَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ كَمَا اتَّفَقْنَا أَصْلًا.
بَاسِمٌ: مُنَاسِبٌ. أَرْجُو أَنْ تُرْسِلَ مُلَخَّصًا بِالتَّعْدِيلَاتِ وَالسِّعْرِ النِّهَائِيِّ، حَتَّى لَا تَبْقَى النُّسْخَةُ السَّابِقَةُ مَرْجِعًا لِلْعُمَّالِ.
وَلِيدٌ: سَأُحَدِّثُ أَمْرَ التَّصْنِيعِ وَأُرْسِلُهُ إِلَيْكَ لِلْمُرَاجَعَةِ. لَنْ نَبْدَأَ الطِّلَاءَ قَبْلَ وُصُولِ تَأْكِيدِكَ الْمَكْتُوبِ.
بَاسِمٌ: وَإِذَا تَأَخَّرَ تَأْكِيدِي إِلَى مَا بَعْدَ الْغَدِ، فَهَلْ يَبْقَى مَوْعِدُ الْخَمِيسِ مَضْمُونًا؟ أُفَضِّلُ مَعْرِفَةَ ذَلِكَ مُسْبَقًا.
وَلِيدٌ: لَا، سَنُرَاجِعُ الْمَوْعِدَ حِينَئِذٍ؛ فَالْحِفَاظُ عَلَيْهِ مَشْرُوطٌ بِالتَّأْكِيدِ قَبْلَ بَدْءِ الطِّلَاءِ الْمُقَرَّرِ غَدًا.
بَاسِمٌ: سَأُرَاجِعُ الْمُلَخَّصَ وَأُؤَكِّدُهُ الْيَوْمَ. التَّعْدِيلُ الْمَحْدُودُ يُحَقِّقُ مَا أَحْتَاجُهُ دُونَ تَكْلِفَةِ لَوْحٍ جَدِيدٍ أَوْ تَأْخِيرٍ.
وَلِيدٌ: جَيِّدٌ. بَعْدَ تَأْكِيدِكَ نَعْتَمِدُ النُّسْخَةَ الْمُعَدَّلَةَ وَحْدَهَا، وَأُبَلِّغُ الْعُمَّالَ بِإِلْغَاءِ الدُّرْجِ وَتَغْيِيرِ اللَّوْنِ.
