Nadir: I want to tell you what happened to the bag you lent me. I am sorry; it was damaged while I was using it.
Bilal: Thank you for telling me. What exactly happened? I want to understand the extent of the damage before we look for a solution.
Nadir: I carried many books in it and lifted it quickly. Then part of the stitching near the handle tore.
Bilal: Did the fabric itself also tear, or is the damage only in the stitching? Show me the spot, please.
Nadir: The damage is here in the stitching. I do not see a tear in the fabric, but the handle is no longer firmly attached.
Bilal: I see it. Did you continue carrying the books after you noticed the problem?
Nadir: No, I took them out and stopped using the bag. I caused the damage, and I will pay for the repair.
Bilal: I appreciate that. Do you know a repairer who can inspect it and see whether it can be repaired?
Nadir: Yes, there is a shop nearby. I will ask about the method and cost today and call you before work starts.
Bilal: I agree to a repair, but I need the bag on Friday. Please ask how long the work will take too.
Nadir: I will ask whether it will be ready on Thursday. I do not want to promise a date before checking.
Bilal: Good. I also want the handle to stay the same length, because I carry the bag on my shoulder too.
Nadir: I will explain that to the repairer. I will also send you a photo of the area he proposes to reinforce with stitching.
Bilal: I would prefer thread of the same colour. Do not allow the bag’s appearance to be changed without us talking first.
Nadir: Of course, I will pass on your request. If he says a repair is impossible, I will tell you before making any decision.
Bilal: Then we will discuss an alternative together. Do not buy a new bag on your own initiative; I would prefer to choose it.
Nadir: Understood. Our first step is an inspection; then I will tell you the cost, duration, and proposed repair method.
Bilal: Yes, and we will confirm the details together before the repairer starts. That way the plan will be clear to us.
Nadir: I will take it to the shop this afternoon and call you from there. I apologise again for what happened.
Bilal: Thank you for being honest and asking me before acting. I will wait for your call so we can finish the plan.
