I am Nabil. Today is my first day at school. I stand at the classroom door. I am a little afraid. I see a teacher and students. The teacher smiles and says, “Good morning! My name is Salma. What is your name?” I say, “My name is Nabil.”
The teacher says, “Come in, Nabil.” I enter the classroom and sit beside the window. A student sits beside me. His name is Ali. He says, “Hello! This is your book.” I take the book and say, “Thank you, Ali.”
We open the books and read together. Ali reads a word, and I read a word. The teacher listens and smiles. I look at my new friend. I am happy in my new classroom.
