My name is Lina. On Saturday evening, I sit with my grandmother in the living room. My grandmother carries a blue album. There are old photos of our family in it. She opens the album and puts it between us. I move closer to her and look at the first photo.
In the photo, there is a little boy in front of a school. He carries a big bag. I ask, “Who is this?” My grandmother says, “This is your father when he was little.” I laugh and say, “His bag is very big!” My grandmother smiles and points to the blue door.
We look at the second photo. There is a girl in a garden. She holds a red flower. I say, “This is my mother!” My grandmother says, “Yes. She likes flowers.” I look at the flower, then at the flowers on our table. My mother still likes them today.
In the third photo, my grandmother is with the family on the beach. The sea is blue, and everyone is happy. I ask, “Where am I?” My grandmother laughs and says, “You are the little girl in my lap!” I call my mother and father. We look at the photos together.
