My name is Salim. On Saturday, we moved to a new apartment near my school. On the evening before the move, we put our belongings in boxes. My sister wrote the room name on each box, and my mother added the word “glass” to the boxes of cups and plates.
In the morning, a small truck arrived. My father and my uncle carried the furniture, and I carried the cushions and light bags. My father said, “Put each box in its room so that we can find our things easily.” My sister put the box of books in my room near the window.
In the afternoon, we wanted to drink tea, but we could not find the cups. My mother asked, “Where is the kitchen box?” We looked for it in the living room, then I saw it behind the kitchen door. It was small, and there was a large bag in front of it.
We took the cups and sat on the rug, because the table was still in the truck. My sister said, “This is our first time sitting together in our new home!” We laughed and drank tea. After the break, we finished arranging the rooms together, and in the evening my room was ready for sleeping.
