On Saturday morning, Huda goes to the supermarket with her brother Hasan. In her hand is a small list from her mother. She reads, “Bread, milk, cheese and three apples.” Hasan takes a basket and walks beside his sister.
Huda finds the bread first. She puts it in the basket, then goes to the fridge. She says, “Here is the milk, and the cheese is beside it.” Hasan helps her and puts the milk and cheese in the basket. Huda has the list, and her brother has the basket.
At the fruit section, Huda takes two red apples. She says to her brother, “We need another apple.” Hasan says, “I want this green apple. Our mother likes green apples.” He puts it in the basket. Now there are three apples in the basket.
Huda looks at the list again. Everything is there. She pays, and Hasan carries the bag. They return home together. Their mother sees the green apple and smiles. She says, “Thank you both!” Then she puts the milk and cheese in the fridge.
