My name is Salma. I go with my father to the fruit market. We carry a big basket. There are apples, bananas and grapes at the market. I look at the grapes and say, “I like grapes.” My father says, “Your mother likes apples. We will buy the apples first.”

In front of us is a box with red apples. I choose three red apples. Then I see a green apple in a small box. I say, “I want this one too.” My father puts the apples in the basket. Now we have four apples. My father buys bananas for my brother and grapes for me.

We return home and put the basket in the kitchen. I show my mother the apples, and she smiles. I wash the grapes and put them on a plate. My brother sits beside me. He eats a banana, and I eat the grapes. The fruit is delicious!
