Layth: Welcome, Samir. Tell me about your previous job and your main responsibilities there.

Samir: I worked for two years at a small training centre and was responsible for welcoming visitors.

Layth: What tasks did you do daily besides welcoming them?

Samir: I used to register participants’ names, check their forms, and reply to emails.

Layth: Can you give an example of a problem you helped to solve?

Samir: Yes. For example, registration was sometimes delayed because of missing information on the forms.

Layth: How did you deal with that problem? Did you share your solution with your colleagues?

Samir: I prepared a short checklist for checking names and phone numbers before saving the file, and explained it to the team.

Layth: What result did you notice afterwards? I would like to understand how the checklist helped.

Samir: The files became clearer, and we had less need to call participants to request missing information.

Layth: This job involves many calls and requests from visitors. How do you organise your work when it is busy?

Samir: I record each request and its priority, then start with the urgent ones and tell the others the expected waiting time.

Layth: Why do you think your previous experience is relevant to this job at our centre?

Samir: Because I am used to organising information and dealing calmly with visitors, even on busy days.

Layth: We use a particular appointment booking program. Have you used it before?

Samir: No, but I learned the previous centre’s program through practice, and I can learn this one with training.

Layth: We provide training on it. Is there another skill that you feel you need to improve?

Samir: I want to increase my typing speed, and I have started a short daily exercise for that.

Layth: One final question: if a visitor forgets a document required for registration, how would you help him?

Samir: I would calmly explain what is needed and write him a list of the documents so that he can return prepared.
